Boat Launches
RM of Alexander:
Harry Craig Road
Harry Craig Boat Launch is located in Hillside Beach and launches your boat into the lagoon. The Launch has a dock on the one side.
There is lots of space for parking, there is an overhang with picnic tables as well as garbage and recycling (not for household dumping). In addition there is a porta potty located in the parking lot.
The channel to the lake can be shallow but is marked.
Hillside Point Rd
Hillside Point boat launch is an old and a bit broken launch; it is a little more hidden, and hard to find.
Located off Hillside Point Road, this boat launch is not suitable for big boats. This boat launch is perfect for people wanting to launch a Seadoo with an ATV, kayaks, canoes and small tin boats.
There is no parking at this boat launch and no dock. You can park at the top of the hill and walk back down. Watch for loose concrete and rebar. Wear protective water shoes!
Yellow Brick Road, Belair
Yellow Brick Road boat launch is located in Bélair, just off Bélair Road.
There is no dock at this boat launch.
Yellow Brick Road boat launch has lots of parking (including handicap), garbage cans, and a porta potty.
Launching here gets you right out on the Big Lake so use caution on a windy day.
Traverse Bay
Traverse Bay is the newest boat launch added to the Beaches of 59 area.
The boat launch has a floating dock that was just recently added. There is lots of parking (including handicap) as well as there is garbage and recycling cans, an overhang with picnic tables, a novelty chair, and a porta potty.
This launch gets you on Albert Beach side of the WInnipeg River and allows you to explore towards Pine Falls.
RM of St. Clements:
Gull Lake
Gull Lake’s boat launch is located just off of Highway 12.
With specific summer hours this boat launch is closed by 8:45 daily.
There is no dock at this boat launch but there is a nice sandy area to watch the sunset with benches and picnic tables all around the area.
Grand Beach Provincial Park
Located inside Grand Beach Provincial Park, this little boat launch is great for launching into the Lagoon within the park. A Provincial Park Pass is required. The lagoon currently has no access to the Big Lake.
There is lots of parking provided for this boat launch. Many locals fish from this area. It is good for kayaks, canoes and smaller boats.
Although Balsam Harbour requires a launching fee, it is a very big boat launch.
With lots of docks along this pier it is a great place to park the boat for the season.
Parking is provided as well as there is a nice sandy beach just off to the side of the boat launch

RM of Victoria Beach:
Victoria Beach Marina, Victoria Beach - (fee in restricted period)
Also known as the Victoria Beach pier, this Marina is a great place to launch a boat. Fees apply during July and August during restricted vehicle period. There is also an option to dock your boat for the season (however long waiting list).
With lots of great fishing along the pier there is lots to do. You can go pier jumping or walk to the beach (~1 minute walk). There are bathrooms located near this boat launch and garbage cans.

Elk Island, Victoria Beach
Do not try to launch a larger boat here. At times you will see boats launched with full farm tractors. Many trucks have gotten drowned in the sinking sand when trying to use this launch. This launch is still a great place to launch kayaks or canoes.
This boat launch has very limited parking, you must park a few blocks away along the highway. Watch no parking signs.
